This year marks Emily Caley’s 4 year anniversary with Athena Healthcare Group! It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re so grateful for all of Emily’s hard work over the past few years. To mark the occasion, we decided to ask Emily a few questions about her chosen career path and her time at Athena Healthcare Group.
What inspired you to work in the healthcare industry?
I have always been very passionate about health and social care. As a result, I began caring informally for my family who became vulnerable and needed support. This then gave me the drive to help more people in similar situations and improve their quality of life by helping to bring changes for the better into the industry.
What drew you to Athena Healthcare Group?
Someone that I used to work with recommended Athena Healthcare Group. They were employed by the company, and she had therefore recommended me to the management at Marine View Lodge.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Undoubtedly, the most rewarding part of my role is being part of improving someone’s quality of life. Also, I’m able to build relationships with residents, families, and staff. I feel that I am extremely privileged to be part of it.
What would you say to people thinking about applying for a role with Athena Healthcare Group?
I have been employed by Athena Healthcare Group for nearly 4 years. Within that time, I have been supported to fulfil my role and enhance my skills leading to promotion for the betterment of myself and the people in my care.
