My aunt was the most wonderful person, professional and dignified, the staff that looked after her emanated the very same. They were kind, professional, welcoming and friendly to the very end. What amazing staff you have working for you, you should be so proud. We couldn't have asked for more or better. Your facilities were perfect, modern and clean and in a perfect setting overlooking the river. Your front-of-house staff, welcoming and simply lovely, whatever time we arrived. From the moment my husband and I came to view Ivy Gate Lodge, we knew it would be perfect for our friend. The manager and the staff were lovely and made us feel at home straight away. When we brought our friend for a visit, she too fell in love with the place. She couldn't believe that we had managed to find such a warm and friendly place for her to love. Once she moved in, she settled immediately and was very calm and relaxed. The care and attention she has received has been excellent, and the food is outstanding too. Our hearts are broken with the condition of my brother, he needs so much care, understanding and patience. He's been here for almost 3 weeks. Wonderful! All the nurses, carers, housekeeping, catering, secretarial reception, and everyone we have met are kind, compassionate and caring. The manager sets a wonderful example to everyone, sometimes in very challenging circumstances.
I can thoroughly recommend anyone to look around and consider this excellent Ivy Gate Lodge for your loved ones. Beautiful.

This is the first time in 2 years that my Mum has felt settled and safe. The staff here are amazing, always helpful and kind and go the extra mile to ensure that everyone here is looked after perfectly. My Mum has only been here a short time but has improved so much after her second stroke and this is all down to Birkdale Tower Lodge.

Mum enjoyed many happy years at Parklands Lodge. From the moment she arrived, she was made to feel welcome and a part of a community which gave us as a family a great deal of comfort. The range of activities on offer to her was outstanding and she had a fabulous time attending themed parties, outings all over the area, meals out and garden parties. She absolutely loved it and was very happy. Throughout her time at Parklands Lodge she was well cared for and all the staff were caring and friendly, building up good relationships with her and us as a family who were also included in activities and outings if we wanted to attend. Her latter years of nursing care coincided with Covid-19 and although it was difficult to not be able to visit her the staff helped her with facetime and we were able to celebrate her 90th birthday in a limited, but meaningful way. There were a large number of staff who were a part of Mum's care but I have to say a particular thanks to those who were with her throughout her stay.

Very good. My sister has been at Marine View Lodge for just under one year. The staff adore her; she is spoilt rotten and settled in from day one. I would recommend this home.

I needed to find my Mum 24 hour nursing care fast when she was being discharged from hospital after having suffered a bad fall which had accelerated her dementia. I was so relieved when I telephoned the manager and was told there was a room available for her. The day she arrived I went in and to my astonishment I found my Mum smiling and happy in her new bed. Staff did a great job of welcoming her and settling her in. Over the coming weeks my Mum was transformed thanks to the amazing carers and nurses. They soon had her up out of bed, fully dressed and feeding herself. This has given me and my family such sheer relief and peace of mind. During her stay she has so enjoyed music therapy, numerous parties and one to one activities with staff. They have even taken her out for a coffee. We have celebrated my Dad's 90th birthday party with her when staff made us a birthday cake and decorated the room. All the staff treat my Mum (and my Dad) with the greatest respect, dignity and love.

Lighthouse Lodge is an exceptional care home that treats its residents as part of their family. The staff are caring, welcoming and go above and beyond for the ladies and gentlemen in their care.
My Dad has settled so well after moving from another home where he was slowly vegetating. Lighthouse Lodge provides a superb standard of care, even more so during the pandemic when residents and their families were unable to be together. We knew that Dad was receiving the best care by people that love him. Lighthouse Lodge have given Dad a new lease of life. He enjoys the company, the entertainment (when allowed - due to Covid restrictions), the friendship and the fabulous meals, and especially the sweet treats. As a family, we could not wish for a safer haven for Dad to be residing at. He is happy, content and in his words "a 100% tickety boo." What more could we ask for?

My Mum is 96 and has dementia, she has been staying on Ash unit for a week’s respite and has been extremely well looked after. The staff are truly caring and have been so kind towards my Mum and also towards myself and my family in helping us organise everything.

Firstly I would like to say if anyone is in the difficult position of having to choose a Care Home I would not hesitate to recommend Abbey Wood Lodge. The Lodge is always immaculate and feels more like a hotel than a Care Home. All the staff are extremely caring and reassuring and have been very supportive of our family during these difficult and challenging times. The Manager is amazing, very professional, and caring and she has created a happy friendly environment all round. A massive thank you to everyone for going that extra mile.

My Mum has been at the care home since 23rd September 2021. During that time she has had unbelievable care from all the very lovely staff. I have visited her once, as I do not live locally, and she is much better in herself and happier than she was previously which is very reassuring. My sister lives locally and she visits 2 to 3 times a week and she is very happy with how my Mum is and all the staff could not do anymore. They are very kind and empathetic. I would highly recommend Lily Wharf.

The staff are brilliant, they go out of their way to try and make the residents' stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The rooms are kept clean and tidy and there is always someone on hand to make sure that almost every need is catered for. There is a multiple choice menu so there is always variety in the food and there are plenty of activities going on to keep residents busy. One of the most important aspects is the support that is given to the family, I am always kept informed about my mother's welfare and updated if there is ever a problem.

What a lovely place! All the staff at Abbey Wood Lodge are amazing. They are friendly, approachable and nothing is too much trouble. Both my parents live at Abbey Wood and even though they have very different needs the staff cater for both of them brilliantly. They are both well cared for and looked after, treated as individuals, and most importantly very happy. I have nothing but praise and would highly recommend Abbey Wood Lodge to anyone. My cousin was admitted to the care of Hesketh Park Lodge in July following a severe stroke. As I live 6000 miles away and am the only relative he is in touch with, I was obviously quite anxious. In November, I was finally able to visit him. When I arrived, all my fears were blown away. This is not your average care home. This is more akin to a boutique hotel! The facilities are amazing and the staff even more amazing. They really do care. Under their care, my cousin is doing so well that it is looking as though he may soon go back home. This is a massive step forward. And I can only thank the wonderful staff for this life changing change. A special thanks must go to, a Nurse who goes beyond and also to the Head Housekeeper. There are probably many others but it was them who I had the pleasure to engage with. And let’s not forget the amazing Care Home Manager who really does have her residents' best interests at heart. In summary, my experience has been fantastic.

My Dad moved into Parklands Lodge after spending 8 weeks in hospital. From the very beginning, the manager has been the utmost support to me, and I am very grateful for that. The staff, whether Nursing, Carers, or Receptionists are all a credit to Parklands Lodge. I can’t fault the care my Dad is receiving and I know he is being really well looked after. This gives me huge peace of mind as I don’t live in the UK. Nothing is ever too much trouble either whether I’m calling each day to see how Dad is doing, to speak to him or to arrange visits when I travel over frequently to see Dad. I would highly recommend Parklands Lodge and I thank the team for everything you all do for my lovely Dad.

They are so lovely at Lily Wharf; it’s a beautiful home with lovely fittings and features. The staff are excellent, and nothing is too much trouble! My grandma looked so at home and well looked after, and I was so impressed. Would highly recommend.

Lakelands Lodge really feels like a home from home. The rooms are well-equipped and inviting. All areas are clean and in good condition. The staff are very friendly with the residents and relatives. Have recently moved my mother into Windmill Lodge – the facilities are befitting of an upmarket hotel and her room is 4* hotel standard – the room has a French doors arrangement that opens onto a small patio and garden area – my mother is enjoying the views and the especially high-quality facilities.
The food is very good – decent cafe/restaurant style and the staff bring her tea and coffee and other tasty treats throughout the day. The level of care is very good indeed with regular checks throughout the day and the staff are all very pleasant and obliging. Exactly what we wanted for Mum’s dementia care in a nursing home.

We transferred Mum to Parklands in October 2022 from another care home. We wish we had moved her sooner. The difference in Mum has been amazing. She is so much calmer, less anxious, feels safe, has put on weight and her hair has grown back. All the staff have contributed to this change in Mum’s health and we can’t thank them enough. They are a very kind, dedicated team of people who care not only for the residents but for their relatives and friends. Moving a loved one to a care home is an emotionally difficult experience but the staff at Parklands have helped us through the hard times. As for the visits from the Alpacas….fantastic!

My mother-in-law who has advanced Parkinson’s and complex needs has been cared for at Marine View Lodge since September 2021. The team here are always there to help support and make sure she has the nursing care she needs. They are also there to listen when you have any concerns too – the manager and her team of nurses and carers always make you feel welcome.
