The Coronation of King Charles III Celebrations

The Coronation of King Charles III is a significant event in the history of Great Britain. The ceremony will take place on the 6th of May 2023, at Westminster Abbey in London.

Guests from across the globe will attend the King’s Coronation, including members of the royal family and dignitaries. It will be a grand celebration of the new monarch’s ascension to the throne.

The ceremony will begin with the King’s arrival at the Abbey. The Archbishop of Canterbury and other religious leaders will welcome the King. Afterwards, The King will then proceed to be seated and crowned with the St. Edward’s Crown.

After the crowning, the King will be presented with the sceptre and the orb. He will then take the oath of allegiance and deliver his coronation speech.

As part of the King’s Coronation procession, he will greet the crowds and accept their well wishes as he enters the streets of London.

Millions of people around the world will watch the Coronation of King Charles III. It is a reminder of the rich history of Great Britain and a celebration of the country’s enduring monarchy.

Why this day is so important to our residents

The prospect of the King’s Coronation holds a special significance to our residents. 

Many of our residents have lived through previous coronations and remember the excitement and sense of national pride that accompanied these events. For our residents, the King’s Coronation is a chance to relive those memories and experience the same sense of joy and pride once again.

King Charles’s III Coronation provides an opportunity for our residents to come together and celebrate as a community. The King’s Coronation will bring our residents together and foster a sense of camaraderie.

Furthermore, the King’s Coronation is a chance for our residents to feel connected to the wider community and give them a day to enjoy and remember!

How our lodges have been getting prepared

Our lovely residents have been getting creative in preparation for King Charles’s III Coronation! They have been keeping busy creating Union Jack bunting to decorate the lodge! In addition, our residents have also received “formal” invites to King Charles’s III Coronation.
