We are searching for a new Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive service in all areas of the Lodge, liaising with the Home Manager & external contractors as required. 

In this role you will be:

  • Responsible for managing and controlling the maintenance budget for the home
  • Communicating and interacting with staff & residents, making sure the home is in excellent condition at all times
  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Responsible for understanding and meeting statutory legal requirements 
  • Carrying out regular safety checks (including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and water)
  • Respectful of residents at all times, especially their right to privacy, dignity and choice and incorporating their needs and requirements into your work routine to ensure their home is a pleasant place to live

Your Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent practical skills – DIY and gardening
  • The ability to use initiative 

Experience

For this role, it is desirable that you have:

  • Experience working in a Maintenance role
  • Experience working within a care home
